Our client is a leader in global logistics, and they are seeking a detail-oriented Licensed Customs Broker to join their Houston team. You won't just file claims; you’ll be a recovery champion with the autonomy to drive impactful change and optimize processes that secure maximum duty, tax, and fee recovery. Your Opportunity for Impact:
Transform complex data into tangible results. As a key member of our compliance team, you will:
- Architect and file meticulous duty drawback claims with U.S. Customs (CBP) to maximize recovery.
- Analyze import/export data from ACE and CargoWise to identify untapped recovery opportunities.
- Navigate regulatory landscapes, ensuring total adherence to U.S. Customs laws and HTS classifications.
- Champion process improvements that streamline claim efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with trade partners and, in time, serve as a professional liaison for valued clients.
What You Bring to the Team:
Our client values precision and proactive problem-solving. We are looking for:
- Duty Drawback Expertise: Proven exposure to drawback programs and U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with HTS codes.
- Systems Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with ACE data and CargoWise.
- Credentials: A Licensed Customs Broker (LCB).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this is a customer-facing role.
- Education: A degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or Accounting is a plus.
