***OPEN CALL FOR INTERVIEWS: 8AM to NOON WEDNESDAY, JULY 15! 13545 Ventura Blvd, 91423. Come say hi!*** Hank's Bagels is hiring experienced drivers to move fresh bagels, food, and equipment between our Sherman Oaks bagel production commissary and our shops! Our commissary is the
central kitchen responsible for making all the bagels and prepped food items served daily at our
four Hank’s locations . The driver will use our cargo van to make sure every location has what they need every day.
At this time we are only interested in applicants with at least
two years' experience driving a car or van for work . You'll be an even better candidate if you're experienced with food and kitchen work, especially in a commissary, prep, or baking role.
This is a job for early birds : our bakery shifts are typically six to eight hours and start between 4:30am and 5:30 am, depending on the day. You must also be available to work weekends.
This position requires regularly
lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds over short distances.
Drivers must have
a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record. Hank's is a growing, people-first company full of joy and excitement--we work hard and we laugh hard. What you’ll do:
- Load and unload bagels, food, and equipment onto and off of our cargo van
- Safely and efficiently drive the van between our locations
- Work as part of a small, dedicated team focused on consistency and quality
- Communicate effectively with coworkers at the commissary and in our stores
- As needed, perform basic food preparation, packing, cleaning, organizing, and light maintenance tasks
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of two years experience as a driver for work
- Excellent driving record
- High level of reliability and personal responsibility
- Good grasp of simple arithmetic
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Proven track record of working well as part of a team
- Ability to work early mornings, including weekends
