We have an outstanding Contract position for anAssembler to join a leading Company located in the Houston, TX surrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Responsible for performing standard assembly processes, reworks andrepairs on manufactured equipment and products.
• Work under limited supervision, perform a variety of assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of products, small mechanical or electro-mechanical parts, or equipment housing orlarge equipment such as engines, engine and PTO drive trains, transmissions, diesel and natural gas generators, control equipment, covers/cowlings, related connecting lines, etc.
• Assemblyprocess may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, andoperational testing andother duties.
• Promotes and contributes safetyawareness.
• Promotes and takes an active partin quality and continuous improvement processes.
• Performs preventive maintenance, inspects production equipment, and performs minor repairs.

Basic Hiring Criteria:  

• High School Graduate or equivalent and two to ten years related experience.
• Must be proficient in basic hand and power tools.
• Proficient understanding of calibration tools. (Torque Wrench).
• Min of 3 years of heavy equipment assembly.
• Employees must be able to read blueprints,and drawings aswell as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations, and use of specialized.
• lifting equipment.
• Basic knowledge of fluid power schematics and associated symbols. Good understanding of UEM quality policy and standards.
• General understanding of MS computer programs. (Work, Email,PDM).
• Good standing with company policies.
