Senior Salesforce Engineer Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Engineer to join our team as a contractor. This role requires deep Salesforce platform expertise, strong engineering fundamentals, and the ability to lead technical design discussions while delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, APIs, Platform Events, and asynchronous processing.
• Lead technical design discussions and make informed decisions between declarative and custom development approaches.
• Build and support enterprise-grade integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and external platforms.
• Optimize platform performance, scalability, and security while adhering to Salesforce best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Review code, enforce engineering standards, and promote high-quality, resilient software development practices.
• Identify design gaps, challenge non-scalable approaches, and recommend optimal solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture artifacts.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall team growth and engineering excellence.
• Support shift-left quality initiatives and scalable engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Salesforce platform experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows, REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Asynchronous Processing, Enterprise Integrations.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce governor limits, Transaction management, Security and sharing models, Performance optimization, Large-scale data management.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support experience.
• Ability to work independently and drive technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or Platform Developer II certification.
• Experience in large enterprise or highly regulated environments.
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience.

Preferred Modern Salesforce Experience

• Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce and Einstein AI capabilities, CRM Analytics and AI-driven workflows.
• Unified customer profiles and identity resolution, AI-ready data models.
• Event-driven and near real-time architectures, Hyperforce and enterprise platform modernization initiatives.

Leadership Expectations

• Operate as a senior technical leader beyond individual story execution.
• Drive architecture reviews, design discussions, and code review rigor.
• Promote engineering best practices, quality, and operational excellence.
• Mentor team members and elevate overall engineering standards.
• Contribute to scalable, maintainable, and resilient platform solutions.
