Job Description

We are seeking an experienced senior Business Systems Analyst to support the evaluation and implementation of a new investment data platform. Operating within the Investment Decision Support (IDS) team, this role serves as a vital bridge connecting investment data to high-level analysis. The primary focus is to assess current-state operations, data flows, and systems, and partner with investment stakeholders to define future-state capabilities that ensure long-term data integrity, visibility, and availability.

Location & Work Arrangement:
City, State: Richmond, VA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite requirements apply).
Interview Mode: Webcam or In-Person (In-Person preferred).
Shift: EST.

Key Responsibilities Requirements

• Requirements Elicitation & Process Mapping
  Partner with financial stakeholders to document current-state processes, system dependencies, and complex data flows. Conduct interviews and dynamic working sessions to capture business needs and translate them into technical platform requirements. Define and design future-state workflows and operational operating models tailored to the new investment data platform.
• Data Governance & Platform Implementation
  Create and maintain detailed current-state assessments, future-state architecture designs, and data flow diagrams. Assist directly with data mapping, cross-system validation, and reconciliation activities during platform migration. Support ongoing data analysis, reporting, and process refinements as the new data infrastructure stabilizes.
• Testing & Change Management
  Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to validate delivery capabilities. Manage transition activities and provide strategic change management support to drive team adoption of the new system.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Analysis: Gathering requirements, process improvement, and test planning. 7+ Years

Documentation: Writing clear technical blueprints, BRDs, and process maps.

Critical Thinking: Solving complex data flow problems and mapping integration points.

Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

Domain Knowledge: Direct experience in the investment management or financial markets industry.

Data & Analytics: Practical experience writing scripts in SQL or Python.

Visualization: Dashboard creation using Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.

Automation: Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like Power Automate.
