Job Description

Run a farmers market stand! And eat delicious bagels while doing so. It's a mix of being at the register, chitchatting with customers, and prepping bagel orders. Similar to a barista, but people are nicer to you and it's bagels instead of coffee :)
Average take-home pay (incl. tips): $200-$250 ($33-42/hr). Not bad for a job where the food's delicious and everyone - including the customers! - is friendly and nice.
Available locations:
- Pleasantville Farmers Market (Westchester)
- Morningside Park (NYC)
Schedule: Saturdays, ~7:30am - 2pm
Perfect if you enjoy working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and take pride in serving high-quality food with a smile. You're responsible for booth setup and breakdown, preparing orders, engaging with customers, and driving sales through friendly and knowledgeable service. It's always 2 people at every stand - so you and a co-worker!

Warning : our bagels are popular! There's often a line from opening until sellout, 4 or 5 hours later. You have to be go-go-go during that time :)
Requirements
Great customer service and communication skills.
Ability to be on your feet and active for up to 8 hours, per shift.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, wind, and extreme temperatures.
Ability to lift 30-40 lbs if needed
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working early mornings (7:30am start times).
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in food service or retail.
Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
Food Handler’s Certification - if you don't know what this is, Google it! You can get this after accepting the job.
