·  Base Compensation: $39,000 - $45,700 per year (paid by the hour).

• Full Benefit Package : including 100% paid-for Health and Dental Insurance, 100% paid-for Long-Term and Short-Term Disability Insurance, incentive bonus opportunities, PTO, 401K, and more!
• Total Compensation Package (including benefits and monthly bonuses): $48,000-$55,000.

This is a fun place to work! DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers is looking for Legal Assistants in our West Wichita, Topeka, and Kansas City office locations. Our Legal Assistants work with our attorneys to assist our clients with their personal injury cases. We focus on meeting the needs of our clients as they seek medical treatment as well as maximizing the value of their legal cases. Your day will include activities such as:

• Regular interactions with our clients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers, by phone and in-person.
• Research and prepare documents to advocate for our clients.
• Draft settlement demand packages.
• Review our client's medical bills, records, and expenses.
• Receive and complete requests from the attorneys.

Excellent telephone communication, ability to work with numbers, strong computer skills, attention to detail, and a friendly attitude are a must. We are also looking for people who enjoy learning new things on a daily basis.

Training for this position will begin with one week at our West Wichita office.

This is a 40 hour a week, M-F. If your mom or dad still has to wake you up for school or work in the mornings, then this job is most likely not for you.
