Job Description

Help K–12 students strengthen reading and writing skills in engaging after-school tutoring sessions. Flexible, part-time hours — typically 1–4 hours per week.

Location : On-site at a partner school (varies by assignment)

Schedule: 1–4 hours per week after school

Position Overview

Concorde Education is seeking an engaging English Tutor to support students in grades K–12 (grade band varies by assignment). Tutors help students strengthen reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and communication skills through structured, supportive sessions aligned with school goals.

Sessions emphasize clear skill development, confidence-building, and strong learning habits. Tutors typically lead weekly sessions across a 10-week program cycle, adapting instruction based on student needs and site logistics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 60 college credits (Associate degree or in progress acceptable)
  • Strong English Language Arts skills appropriate to the assigned grade band
  • Experience working with school-age students (teaching, tutoring, camps, after-school programs, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
  • Reliable, organized, and professional
  • Comfortable supporting learners with varied learning levels
