Job Description

Salary: $82,000 - 122,000 per year Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years in cybersecurity and data governance, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Successful track record in implementing a data classification program at the enterprise level.
  • Direct experience with the procurement and deployment of Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and Data Rights Management (DRM) technologies.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Profound understanding of data protection principles, including encryption, access control, data loss prevention (DLP), and data discovery.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-171, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong project management abilities to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
  • Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; a Masters degree is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and oversee the comprehensive enterprise-wide data security and governance strategy, policies, and standards.
  • Act as the primary authority on data security requirements for ITAR and other governmental regulations, ensuring compliance in all data handling processes and systems.
  • Develop and manage a corporate data classification policy, collaborating with business units to identify and protect sensitive and regulated data throughout its lifecycle.
  • Lead the selection and operationalization of a DSPM solution to enhance visibility and control over our data environment.
  • Implement and oversee a DRM solution to regulate access and use of sensitive data, ensuring interactions are in line with established policies.
  • Conduct regular assessments of data security risks, identifying vulnerabilities and overseeing remediation actions to reduce risks.
  • Develop and manage data-focused elements of the incident response plan, including breach containment, investigation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, Engineering, and business units to integrate data security principles into their processes, and design training programs to elevate awareness of data governance and security best practices.
