Job Description

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Analytical Chemist opportunity in East Tennessee.

Duration: Approximately 4 month contract

Position Summary:

The Analytical Chemist will provide on-site technical support for method implementation, validation support, documentation review, laboratory staff mentoring, and audit preparation.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Establish ISO-17025 compliant analytical procedures.
• Validation of required analytical methods.
• Provide technical guidance to laboratory staff.
• Support development and completion of quality documentation.
• Support analytical readiness for production.
• Review analytical data and verify QC performance.
• Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation and analytical processes.
• Assist with laboratory staff training as needed.
• Support development of training documentation.
• Provide on-site chemistry expertise.
• Guide laboratory chemists and technicians during analytical operations.
• Answer technical questions and troubleshoot analytical issues.
• Modify and refine analytical procedures as needed.
• Support validation activities including precision, accuracy, detection limits, linearity, matrix effects, and uncertainty evaluation.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or other relevant discipline, advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry
• Must have experience with ISO-17025
